Fuel the Fire Within

Well, I've been on vacation for a week and it was great for renewed energy and focus both professionally and creatively.  I spent the last weekend in my studio enjoying the creative fire from within.  And for me, that is exactly what it is a fire from within which needs to be stoked and fueled to keep it burning.  I'm getting ready for the holidays are you?

Thrown to the Wolves or Not?

My husband keeps saying they we've thrown our daughter out to the wolves! She, our baby, started college at age 17 - she turns 18 in October!

I, however, believe that we have sent a very strong capable young women out into the world to conquer it! Yes, at times I am fearful but I know that this is part of "me" missing her!

As long as she continues to make wise choices she will be fine. On the other hand I don't believe my husband expected the "empty nest" to hit him so hard! He misses her terribly and that was not something I anticipated nor did I plan for. So for me at this point I'm focused on helping him get through it. Wish me luck!

Oh that explain it!

Hmm yes it's been very chaotic in my life these last couple of weeks so this explains it all! I'm not too sure that I've been looking at this change as "great" but lesson learned it will be what I make it to be! So new mind set it will be a great change for me, my husband and my daughter! After almost 22 years we will be back to us! Having only a little under three years as "us" before baby made three it will be an exciting "new" change for us.

Looking forward to many spontaneous trips in the near future! We will see how strong this "us" can be!

Here's to making the new change in our lives count!

Creativity is the ultimate distraction!

Well, we are less than a week away befor we have an empty nest!

I have been extremely creative these last few weeks and I feel it's my subconscious dealing with what I know will be an overwhelming emptiness in our house!

As I do believe things could always be worse. So I hope you are enjoying my newest creations and just remember th holidays are fast approaching!
